Sales Engineer (m/f/d)

Responsibilities:

  • Identify and engage with potential clients to understand their conveyor system requirements, offering comprehensive solutions that align with their operational needs.
  • Collaborate closely with the engineering and design teams to develop customized solutions with standardized conveyor system proposals, considering technical specifications, cost estimates, and project timelines.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify industry trends, competitor strategies, and new business opportunities within the conveyor system manufacturing sector.
  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring exceptional service delivery and identifying opportunities for upselling or cross-selling additional products or services.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations, technical demonstrations, and proposals to prospective clients, showcasing the unique value propositions of our conveyor system solutions.
  • Act as a subject matter expert during sales meetings, providing in-depth product knowledge, technical advice, and recommendations to clients.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.

What you should bring with you:

Not everyone can be a Technical Sales Engineer. To be seriously considered for this role, please have the following in regard to:

  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to work with CAD and ERP software
  • Experience working directly with the customer (automotive industry is a plus)
  • Experience with multi-part complex systems
  • Able to work in a team environment
  • Understands the full cycle sales process
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work constructively with individuals at all levels of responsibility
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office Suite
  • An inquisitive and innovative nature with excellent critical and analytical thinking
  • Problem-solving guru
  • Self-confidence to support persuasion and sales efforts
