Purchasing Manager

Your responsibilities:

  • Gather quotations for material, components, etc.
  • Preparation and tracking of orders in ERP system
  • Constantly monitor and report the progress of critical orders to internal stakeholders
  • Communication with suppliers for accurate and on time delivery
  • Stock and project related purchasing
  • Inventory and receiving support
  • Price and contract negotiation
  • Alternative supplier research to reduce cost, reduce lead-time, increase quality, etc.

What you should bring with you:

  • Previous proven experience working directly with the suppliers is preferred
  • Technical appreciation and understanding of material and mechanical/electrical components
  • Excellent communication and strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be available to work from our facility in Hebron, KY (relocation not provided) and be able to travel as required
  • Must be able to work in a team environment, independently or with minimal direction
  • Increasingly, foreign language skills are in demand
